RANDOM RABBIT FACTS

INTERACTIVE SPINWHEEL

spin.gif

Random Rabbit Facts, interactive spinwheel is an enjoyable way to gain knowledge about

common rabbit care tips. Many misconceptions are associated with rabbits that can be easily learned through simple research. This interactive spinwheel rotates through twelve facts, divided into four categories by color. Rabbits are social creatures that are very playful and curious. They are full of personality and love spending time with their owners. It takes time to understand a rabbits language and for them to feel comfortable enough around their owner. I was unaware of how to treat, care, or handle rabbits until about a year ago. Many people are uneducated about the needs of a rabbit and my goal for this project is to let people explore and understand why rabbits are so wonderful.

illustrations

Unique, hand drawn illustrations were created in procreate to coordinate with specific sections in the spinwheel. Illustrations are used to enhance the facets of the spinwheel. Specifically, the importance to understand the rabbit diet and healthy needs consisting of vegetables, fruits, hay, and pellets. Rabbits need play time daily, are most comfortable in their owner’s homes, and should visit vets for regular checkups. I very much enjoy being an illustrator especially when my inspirations come from my own rabbits. I’m even more excited that I can share these inspriational moments and knowledge with others.

inspiration

I was inspired by old board games to create a modern spin wheel that displays different rabbit facts. I own and care for the two rabbits shown. My goal with this project was to bring awareness to people that are curious about the care of rabbits, and to clear up misconceptions about them. Rabbits are full of personalities if proper care is given to them.

color & type

I took inspiration from old board games and the circus for this color pallete. A mix between bold and vibrant colors give life to the animation. Rabbits are full of personality and I wanted the colors to reflect that. Rabbits are portrayed as the perfect Easter icon, having pastel colors associated with them, but they are so much more than cute creatures. They are energetic, free spirited, intelligent: much more than “pastel colors.”

After the twelve facts have circulated, the wheel shrinks and bounces off the page. A closing box enters from the top, pushing the wheel off the page. Linked is the House Rabbit Society for more information at the bottom of the page. The viewer can also go back to the spinning wheel at this time.
